BOSTON – Constance Fortin, 66, of 62 Fairlawn Ave. in Lewiston, passed away on Monday, Feb. 13, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a long illness.

She was born in Lewiston on June 18, 1939, the daughter of Arthur and Cecile (Desrocher) Bolduc. She attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Grammar School and Lewiston High School. She was a member of the Infant of Mary Society and the Ladies of St. Anne.

She married Robert G. Fortin on Oct. 25, 1958.

Prior to early retirement, she had been employed at Veterans Potato Chip Co., Excel Cleaners, Kresge’s, Clark Shoe, Shapiro Bros. and St. Mary’s Hospital as a certified nursing assistant.

She was a member of Holy Family Church, Lewiston Seniors and Horizons 55. Connie enjoyed working on arts and crafts. She was well known for her history quilts. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing country music. She enjoyed being around people and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She had a great love for animals, especially her cat, Sabrina, and her daughter’s dogs, Libby and Skeeter.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Fortin of Lewiston; two daughters, Diane Fortin and her partner, Cheryl McKeone, of Turner, and Danielle Fortin-Garneau and her husband, Sean Garneau, of Mechanis Falls; one aunt, Jeannette Bolduc of Lewiston; a niece, Patricia Bolduc; and godchildren, Elaine Palmer of Rumford and Michael Bolduc of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her brother, Normand Bolduc; her parents; and many aunts and uncles.
