AUBURN – The Maine Corps League Central Maine Detachment held a reorganization and election of new officers at the New Auburn American Legion Post 153.

Members discussed the most convenient night to meet, agreeing that the last Thursday night of the month at 7 p.m. would be appropriate at the New Auburn American Legion Post 153, 72 South Main St., New Auburn. Entrance is on the Cook Street side.

A drive was discussed to bring in more members. New members have already joined and a good showing is expected at the next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.

The following were elected: commandant, Raymond Lemieux; senior vice commandant, Paul Samson; junior vice commandant, Lucien Marcoux; judge advocate, Joseph Nota Jr.; junior past commandant, Robert E. MacDonald; adjutant/paymaster, Roland Cyr; chaplain, Edith Lemieux; sergeant-at-arms, Maurice Marquis; assistant sergeant-at-arms, Lois Vincent.
