SOUTH PARIS – Phyllis M. O’Connor, 86, of Mechanic Falls died Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Market Square Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in New Brunswick, Canada, on Nov. 6, 1919.
She married Dennis O’Connor on March 28, 1942, who survives her.
In her younger years, Mrs. O’Connor worked in local woolen mills. Later in life, she worked as a shoemaker for Maine Shoe in Auburn.
She was also a member of the Busy Bees in Poland since 1960.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Dennis, of Mechanic Falls; a sister, Marilyn House of Winthrop; cousins, Frances and Mary Ann Martin, of Poland; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
