SOUTH PARIS – Clyde “Pete” Newman Hall Jr. of New Sharon, went to go be with his Savior on Feb. 16, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1965 after 20 years of service and then worked at Forsters Manufacturing in Wilton, until retiring in 1991.

He was an avid golfer and spent many days at Sandy River Golf Course. He loved to paint and enjoyed woodworking and working in his shop. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and was a wonderful grandfather. He loved watching baseball games and was always one of their biggest fans. He enjoyed the company of good friends and family gatherings and loved to talk about the good ole days. He enjoyed being outdoors and went on many fishing and hunting trips.

He will be greatly missed by his brother, Robert Hall Sr. and wife, Christl of Wilton; niece, Jenny; nephews, Robert Jr. and Steven; his grandchildren, Nicole Farrington and Jason Farrington of Virginia, Seth Farrington, Britany Farrington, Zachary Farrington and their mother, Olivia Lake, all of New Sharon; a son, Dennis Farrington of Florida; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Hall; an infant son, Dale; daughter, Deborah Engle; mother, father and younger brother.
