Recently Elm Street School had its annual pep rally to show our school spirit. It started off with the cheerleaders performing a cheer full of spirit and a snappy stunt. Unfortunately there wasn’t a dance routine to go along with it.
Next Junior Varsity girls did an intricate passing warm-up followed by boy’s JV doing talented lay-ups, which was continued by the boy’s Varsity. Finally to finish up the basketball piece girl’s Varsity performed more passing and shooting drills. To spice things up at the end we broke the gym up into two groups. Fourth through sixth graders on one side and the seventh and eighth graders on the other, to see who could be the loudest. Of course the fourth through sixth graders won. Congratulations! Although this pep rally was enjoyable most don’t think it was quite up to par. During past years teachers were also involved. Perhaps next year’s will be even more exciting.
