WILTON – Public memorial services for Mr. Dyke were held Sunday at the First Congregational Church of Wilton, United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Dr. Douglas A. Dunlap officiating. Special music included a solo by a granddaughter, Maggie Kobik, titled “Edelweiss.” Congregational hymns included “He will Raise You Up on Eagle’s Wings” and “All Things Bright and Beautiful.” A favorite poem “Miss Me, But Let Me Go” was recited and Rep. Tom Saviello delivered a sentiment from the Maine Legislature. Words from scripture included Psalm 24:1-6; Micah 6:8 and John 4: 1-4. Family words of remembrance were shared by his son and daughter, Scott Dyke and Kathy Kobik as well as granddaughter, Alexandra Dyke. The guest pianist was Lucretia Smith. Following services, a reception was held in the church vestry, hosted by members of his faith community. Spring committal services will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Wilton. Cremation and memorial service arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center.
