BETHESDA, Md. – Donnita Fowlkes and Scott Mennealy were married on Nov. 13 at the Holiday Inn Select Bethesda in Bethesda, Md. Ruben Marbury officiated the ceremony. The reception followed the wedding ceremony in the ballroom of the hotel.

The bride is the daughter of Donald and Joyce Fowlkes of Chattanooga, Tenn. The bridegroom is the son of Stephen and Nancy Mennealy of Lewiston.

The wedding party included friends of the bride, Felicia Holness as maid of honor, and Pam Luckett as matron of honor, with bridesmaids Zakiya Kreger, Rebecca Slay and Sakura Johnson. The flower girl was Ja’xia Gholston, cousin of the bride.

Darin Ford, friend of the bridegroom, and Brad Mennealy, brother of the bridegroom, were the best men. The groomsmen were friends of the bridegroom, Jason Edwards, Kevin Roland, Joe Ouellette and Josh Church. The ring bearer was Tyrek McIntosh, cousin of the bride.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Kalamazoo College and received her master’s degree in economics from American University. She is employed as a senior realty specialist for the General Services Administration in Washington, D.C.

The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of the University of Maryland and is employed as a software engineer for Epok, Inc. in Bethesda, Md.

The couple honeymooned in Arizona and Las Vegas and currently reside in Silver Spring, Md.
