FARMINGTON – Maine Centers for Women, Work and Community recently received a $2,000 grant from the H. King and Jean Cummings Fund of the Maine Community Foundation to support the Routes to Success Entrepreneurs’ Network.

The group of small business owners started meeting monthly after completing a “Basics of Starting a Business” class co-taught by Women, Work and Community and the Women’s Business Center last March. They are continuing to add new members.

The funding will allow Women, Work and Community to continue to provide support in facilitating the meetings, assist with joint marketing efforts and provide business training and technical assistance in collaboration with local and regional partners.

Women, Work and Community, a statewide nonprofit organization, provides individual assistance and group training in building careers, starting and growing businesses, planning for financial security and becoming community leaders.
