LEWISTON – La Rencontre will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 3, at the Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St.
The room fills up by 11:15 a.m. as people gather to socialize to practice or converse in their native tongue.
The gathering will feature a meal by Davinci’s restaurant. Since the gatherings are a fundraiser for the center, the donated meal will help the center’s renovation project The menu will be seafood lasagna, tossed salad, rolls and dessert.
The Golden Nuggetts, a group of local senior citizens who perform throughout the area, will provide entertainment. They perform old time favorites as well as country gospel, Irish and French music.
Reservations must be made in advance by calling the center at 783-1585 or Claudette at 786-6936.
