Vehicle strikes Auburn Rite-Aid

AUBURN – A 34-year-old Auburn woman was uninjured after the car she was parking failed to stop and struck the Rite-Aid on Minot Avenue.

Julie Hutchins was parking her 1999 Chevrolet SUV in front of the pharmacy when it appeared there was a malfunction or defect in the vehicle that prevented her from stopping, according to police reports.

The SUV struck a pole at the front of the building, causing about $2,000 in damage to the pharmacy and $500 to the vehicle.

The Fire Department was called to the scene and determined the pole was not structurally supporting the building.
