RUMFORD – June Bartlett Tardiff, 73, died Wednesday, March 1, at the Rumford Hospital. She was a resident of Mexico.
She was born in Old Town on Dec. 6, 1932, a daughter of Byron and Delina (Heald) Bartlett. She was a graduate of Old Town High School in the Class of 1951.
She was a bookkeeper at Newberry’s in Rumford, until her retirement in 1990. She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church in Mexico.
She was married in Old Town on Aug. 11, 1954, to John Tardiff, who survives of Mexico. Other survivors include a daughter, Renee Tardiff of Durham; two sons, John Tardiff Jr. of Rumford and Gary Tardiff of Rumford; two brothers, Byron Bartlett of Oxnard, Calif., and Donald Bartlett of Waterville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters, Marie, Dot, Kay and Rita.
