FARMINGTON – Bill, an American Staffordshire terrier mix, is between 3 and 4 years old, already neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines, said staff at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

They said he is a laid-back guy, and it doesn’t take much to make him happy. They can’t understand why anyone would desert such a fun loving dog.

Staff said he loves to go for walks and, because of his muscular build, he is quite the ladies’ man. His favorite toy is a Kong stuffed with peanut butter and he loves his rawhides.

They said he will sit and speak for a treat and, if it is high enough, he will do a little dance for it. He loves to snuggle as well, is eager for attention and like nothing more than a good old-fashioned scratch. Bill has been at the shelter for almost two months and is anxious to find a new home.

New dogs at the shelter include a female Doberman found in Farmington.
