ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Leo J. Buckley, 72, of Attleboro, Mass., died Monday, March 6, at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Buckley was born and raised in Whitman, Mass., son of the late Leonard and Anna (Cormier) Buckley. He attended Whitman schools.

He worked for Yellow Cab in Brockton and was a Whitman Auxiliary police officer. He retired from the VA Medical Hospital Medical Center in Brockton after eight years, working in many departments.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and recently a member of the American Legion in S. Attleboro.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Easter) Buckley of Rumford; three sons and three daughters, Scott Buckley of South Attleboro, Joseph Buckley of Oregon, John McLaughlin of Maine, Kathleen Terry and Susan Buckley, both of Brockton and Tammy McLaughlin of Vermont; a brother, Michael Buckley of Connecticut; a sister, Ann Collins of Rhode Island; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the former husband of Nancy Buckley of Brockton.

He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Lewis.
