Contestants in the recent Second District American Legion Oratorical Contest were Marybeth Hoover, representing Oxford County, and Andrea Wrede, winner, representing Androscoggin County. Wrede will represent the Second District at the state finals. Hoover is the daughter of Beth and Steve Hoover of Bryant Pond, and Wrede is the daughter of Russ and Jo Wrede of Lisbon Falls.
