South Paris – Winona V. Pearson, 85, of South Paris, died Thursday, March 9, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.

She was born in Lewiston on April 24, 1920, the daughter of Edwin J. and Abbie E. Estes Woodbury. She married Spencer O. Pearson. She faithfully served her country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

She had been employed at shoe shops in Lewiston.

She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Rowe-Akerley of Lewiston; two granddaughters, Stephanie Farrar and husband, Chris, of Norway and Lisa Laqlalech of Auburn; a grandson, Staff Sgt. Ryan Rowe of Minot, N.D.; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Farrar; and a great-grandson, Jordan Farrar.

She was predeceased by her husband in 1989.
