AUBURN – Donald J. Pelletier, 70, of 76 James St., Auburn, died Friday morning, March 10, at his home.

He was born in Caribou on Aug. 5, 1935, a son of George and Laura Pelletier. He attended Caribou elementary schools, graduating from Caribou High School in 1953.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He married Alphena M. Gaudreau on Oct. 25, 1958. She died on May 9, 1999.

He worked as a sales representative for Lever Brothers selling soap products, prior to his retirement.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and the Lewiston ELKS Lodge, where he was past exhaulted ruler and lifetime member. He loved playing cribbage and spending time with his family.

Survivors include daughters, Ann Humphrey and her husband, Walter, of Auburn, and Penny Corbin and her husband, Zeno, of Poland; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; sisters, Esther Henderson of Houlton and Lorraine Koehler of St. Petersburg, Fla.; brothers, George of Caribou, Gill of Enfield, Conn., and Larry, also of Caribou.

He was also predeceased by a son, John Pelletier, on July 12, 2004; and sisters, Connie Albero, Joanne Freme and June Hackett.
