After a while all these blogs start to sound the same: words, words, words, blah, blah, blah. In this sea of verbage, Daily Dose of Imagery (http://wvs.topleftpixel.com/) is a refreshing sight.
As the name suggests, Daily Dose of Imagery features a photo a day by Sam Javanrouh. It has also won a bloggie for best photography.
Javanrouh, born in Iran, lives in Toronto with his wife and works as a creative director at Optix, a visual effects and animation company. Images range from cool street shots of Toronto’s Chinatown to arty shots like one of a bicycle on a yellow wall. There’s a heavy dose of Toronto imagery, but the quality of the shots more than makes up for the local focus.
Javanrouh includes some details on his camera settings for the photog crowd, but keeps them brief for the rest of us. There’s also a chance to comment, but, really, the comments aren’t half as interesting as the photos.
Ultimately, check it out. You may just need this daily dose of imagery.
