LEWISTON – Blanche Cecile Bergeron, 86, formerly of 294 South Main St., New Auburn, died Sunday, March 12, at Montello Manor.

She was born in Auburn, Feb. 15, 1920, the daughter of Albert W. and Christine Thibodeau Dostie. She was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1938. She was married in 1940 to George E. Bergeron who predeceased her May 8, 1984. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a stitcher at Clark Shoe Co. She was a member of the Auburn Catholic Comunity at St. Louis Church and the New Auburn Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a daughter, Pauline Gauthier and husband, John, of Dunnellon, Fla.; a sister, Rita Buck of Goose Creek, S.C.; two grandchildren, Bobbie Ann McLochlin and husband, Jesse and John Paul Gauthier and wife, Tammy; five great-grandchildren, Jackie and Corey McLochlin, Naomi and Jordan Dagostino and Grace Gauthier; three nieces; and two nephews.

She was predecased by a daughter, Diane Bergeron Sept. 2, 1965.
