SUMNER – Hartford-Sumner Elementary School Principal Lucy Johnson has invited the public to a special flag ceremony at 8 a.m. Monday, March 20, at the school.

Rep. Bruce Hanley has presented the school with a new state flag, and Sen. Susan Collins’ office will send a representative with a U.S. flag that has flown over the Capitol. The state officials willl lead the student body in the flag salute and talk about citizenry.

Local guardsmen and veterans will take part in the presentation of colors. The ceremony will be held outside in front of the building, weather permitting, then move into the gym.

All visitors should park in the visitors’ parking lot at the side of the school.
