LEWISTON – On Monday, the Lewiston School Committee approved the calendar for the upcoming school year. The 2006-07 schedule includes 175 days for students and seven in-service days for teachers.

Students will start school Tuesday, Aug. 29. Labor Day is the following Monday, Sept. 4.

Students will receive three days off during Thanksgiving week and get slightly more than a week off around Christmas and New Year’s. There will also be vacations in February and April.

The last day of school is set for Tuesday, June 12. If all five snow days are used, the last day could be bumped to Wednesday, June 20.
