BIDDEFORD – Louise Mary Kangas, 67, of Sumner, died March 13, in Biddeford.

She was born in West Paris on Feb. 6, 1939, the daughter of Perley and Mary (Estes) Robinson. She was educated in West Paris schools and graduated from West Paris High School. She had worked at the Oxford County Court House for several years, at Weight Watchers in South Paris several years, and most recently had worked at Bessey Motors (formerly Aldrich Motors) from 1966 until she retired in 2005.

She was a member of the O.E.S. of West Paris and the Rebekahs of Buckfield. She enjoyed hiking, biking, camping, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and picking blueberries and strawberries.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Robinson of Sumner; one son, Brian Kangas and his wife, Susan, of Sumner; three daughters, Julie Toothaker of West Paris, Lisa Ackley of Sumner and Holly Roberts and her husband, Mike, of South Paris; six grandchildren, Samuel Ackley of Buckfield, Juanita Toothaker of South Paris, Crystal Toothaker of West Paris, Mark Huston of South Paris, Ryley Kangas of Sumner and Lindsey Roberts of South Paris; one great-granddaughter, Olivia Page Coffin of South Paris; and one brother, Perley W. Robinson and his wife, Sandy, of North Turner.

She was predeceased by her father, Perley Robinson; her husband, Arthur Kangas, Dec. 11, 2005; and one granddaughter, Jamie Marie Toothaker, in 1985.
