The Lewiston Area Youth Cheering League gave $1,500 to the Children’s Cancer Program at the league’s Vacation Classic Cheering Competition on Feb. 26. Kathy MacDonald accepted the check from cheerleaders Justine Bachelder, Gabrielle Barboza, Ashley Freve, Taylor Pratt and Kaitlyn Reny. Forty teams participated in the two-day event at Lewiston High School. The league has also contributed to the cancer program at the annual Children’s Walk-a-thon, scheduled this year for Saturday, Sept 16.
