Lewiston Ice Dawgs defeated Gorham 5-1 Tuesday to advance to the semifinals in the Southern Maine Middle School Hockey League playoffs.

Colt Steele and Connor Anthoine both netted 2 goals and an assist. Donne Larrivee tied the game in the second period on a power play goal, assisted by Scott Ouellette and Alex Parker. Dylan Pomerleau and Larrivee were also credited with assists. Cam Poussard was stellar in net. Spencer Violette scored for Gorham, with Eli Lienhardt assisting.

Lewiston will take on Portland or Saco in semifinal action Monday at the Portland Ice Arena.

The Lewiston JV squad took a 1-0 forfeit win over NYA Tuesday, after posting a perfect 12-0 record during the regular season. The Ice Dawgs Jayvees will meet Falmouth in a semifinal game Wednesday.
