POLAND – The Gray-New Gloucester drama team will go to the state Maine Drama Festival finals thanks to its showing in recent regional action at Poland Regional High School.
The Livermore Falls team came in second for Class B schools.
Gray-New Gloucester was the Class A winner, with South Portland named the alternate. Yarmouth was named the Class B winner. Livermore Falls was named the alternate because of its second-place finish and will go to the state finals if Yarmouth can’t make it.
The state finals competition will be held on the weekend of March 24-25. Class A finals will be held at Camden Hills Regional High School, the Class B finals will take place at Yarmouth High School.
The competition is run by the Maine Drama Council. Membership includes more than 85 high school drama directors, who participate in the annual Maine Drama Festival.
