PORTLAND – Sen. Susan Collins, chairwoman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security, is holding a luncheon roundtable Wednesday, March 22, at Eastland Park Hotel, 157 High St.
Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is followed by a discussion and question-and-answer period.
The committee is responsible for all aspects of national security, including cargo and port security. Collins and her committee are at the center of the Dubai Ports World controversy. An informal and open discussion with Collins regarding international trade and transportation-related issues is planned.
