Alexis R.D. Handy of Lewiston has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.

Handy, a sophomore music theatre major, finished the semester with a 3.2 grade point average.

A 2004 graduate of Lewiston High School, she is the daughter of Jim and Sharon Handy of Lewiston. Handy is in rehearsal for the upcoming USM production of “Blood Brothers.” She also has been invited to audition later this month in front of theater producers and directors from around New England at the annual New England Theater Conference auditions in Natick, Mass.
