Lewiston – Lucy A. Ouellette, 81, a lifelong resident of Auburn, died Monday, March 20, at Montello Manor with her family at her side.

She was born in Frenchville Dec. 20, 1924, a daughter of Phillippe and Ozithe Deschaine. Prior to getting married, she worked as a beautician for several years as she owned her own shop in Lewiston.

On Oct. 25, 1947, she married Omer Ouellette and then worked as a homemaker as together they began to raise their family. Her husband predeceased her on December 16, 1991. She was a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at Sacred Heart Church and the Ladies of St. Anne.

For several years she also volunteered as a CCD Teacher. Among her favorite enjoyments were being in the outdoors gardening and tending to her flowers. She was unbelievably dedicated to her children and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by her family.

She leaves two daughters, Linda Rotz and husband, Walter, of Auburn and Deborah Troisi. and husband, James, of Hampstead, N.H.; two sons, Paul Ouellette and wife, Christine, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Richard Ouellette and wife, Janice, of Minot; eight grandchildren, Douglas Ouellette, Aimee Lange, Angelique Ouellette, Travis Ouellette, Robert Rotz, Andrea Rotz, Jolene Bussiere and Katelynn Bussiere.

She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.
