FARMINGTON – With college basketball’s March Madness heating up, the Granary and Sexual Assault Victims’ Emergency Services have teamed up again for a fundraiser.

During the March Madness regional play-offs of the NCAA tournament, the Granary will donate to SAVES 10 percent of all food sales from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 28.

During the 2005 March Madness fundraiser, the Granary raised $500 for SAVES.

SAVES provides crisis intervention services to victims of sexual assault and, through the Sexual Assault Response Team, works with law enforcement and the court system on behalf of the victims. SAVES also provides school-based and community education programs to increase awareness about prevention of sexual violence.

The Granary and SAVES invites all people to participate. For dinner reservations, contact the Granary at 779-0710 or for more information about sexual violence, contact the SAVES office at 778-9522. The 24-hour crisis hotline is 1-800-871-7741.

SAVES is a United Way of the Tri-Valley area nonprofit agency.
