TURNER – Peter Ricker of Turner is running as a write-in candidate for the uncontested three-year term on the SAD 52 Board of Directors.

Ricker, 34, is an orchardist, a Turner native, a graduate of Leavitt Area High School class of ’91 and a graduate of the University of Maine.

He has been active in community organizations, currently serving as secretary of the Masonic Lodge in Turner, and president of the Androscoggin County Farm Bureau. He and his wife, who is a teacher in the Dixfield school system, are the parents of a 2-year old son.

Elections will be held April 7 at the Town Office. Turner holds four seats on the nine-member board; Greene, three; and Leeds, two.

Elizabeth Bullard is a candidate for the other open seat for a three-year term in Turner, while incumbent Harris L. Bradeen is uncontested for a one-year term.
