PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (AP) – A brief look at the second round Friday of The Players Championship, played on the 7,093-yard, par-72 Stadium Course on the TPC at Sawgrass (all times EST):

Leading: Jim Furyk had a 1-under 71 and was at 136.

Trailing: Stephen Ames (66) and Adam Scott (67) were one shot behind.

Leaving: Davis Love III shot 83, becoming the first player in tournament history to go from a share of the lead to missing the cut. His 18-stroke differential (after opening with 65) tied a tournament record.

Tiger Tales: Tiger Woods shot 69 and was five shots behind.

Aces Up: Justin Leonard and Jesper Parnevik each made a hole-in-one on the 13th hole.

Island adventures: Fifteen players hit into the water on the island-green 17th, with Stephen Leaney and Corey Pavin both going in twice.

Noteworthy: David Toms missed the cut for the ninth time in 14 starts.
