LEWISTON – Eugene (Gene) F. and Ruth R. Linehan of Lewiston recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends.
Mr. Linehan and the former Ruth Curran were married on June 9, 1956, at Saints Peter and Paul Basilica. They have five children, Peter, Paul, Rosalie, Patrick and David. They also have 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Linehan is retired from Bath Iron Works and enjoys carpentry, gardening and oil painting. He also raises pigeons.
Mrs. Linehan is a retired school teacher in the Lewiston School System and enjoys reading, cooking and taking courses at Senior College on the Lewiston-Auburn campus.
They both look forward to spending summer at their cottage at Cochnewagen Lake in Monmouth.
