RUMFORD – The Rumford Hospital 2005-2006 Annual Appeal is a little more than half way to its goal of $30,000. A second letter was recently mailed to local businesses and individuals with the hospital’s new color brochure.
“Now that this phase of construction is complete, we have printed this brochure so that people can see the new face of the hospital and some familiar faces of the wonderful people who work there,” said Don Cummings, Rumford Hospital Development Committee chairman.
He said, “We hope that seeing all the services the hospital provides for our community will motivate people to give to the annual appeal.”
Annual appeal funds, Cummings said, are used to purchase capital equipment. “Some of this equipment adds new services, such as new laparoscope sizes for the operating rooms,” he said. “Some of the money allows the hospital to replace equipment with state-of-the-art apparatus.”
