LEWISTON – The Sexual Assault Crisis Center will host its sixth annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Marco’s Italian Restaurant.

This year’s celebrity waiters will be Chris Schario from the Public Theatre, Peter and Laurie Steel from the Twin City Times, Jeff Peterson and Matt Zidle from WMTW TV, Dave Ladderbush, Chip Morrison from the Chamber, Paul Boudreau from Lewiston Public Works, Chris Facchini from WCSH TV, Chief Bill Welch from the Lewiston Police Dept., Chief Richard Small from the Auburn Police Dept., Kristen Cady from the Sun Journal, Patti Gagne from Allstate Insurance and Mitchell Clyde Thomas, a local actor. One of the celebrities is a professional clown and will be in costume for the event.

The celebrities will help wait on the tables and will share their talents at the request of the guests.

Nelson Peters will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Throughout the evening, there will be a silent auction, with a live auction at the end of the event. Items will include jewelry, an official Red Sox baseball autographed by Gabe Kapler, a child’s John Deere ride-on tractor with wagon, car reconditioning, a piece of granite with a certificate for engraving and a handmade quilt.

All proceeds from the dinner and auction will support the work of the Sexual Assault Crisis Center. The center provides support and assistance to people who have been affected by sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual harassment, and also provides community and school-based education about those issues.

Last year, the Sexual Assault Crisis Center provided services to 332 individuals and provided education to another 3,500.

Tickets can be purchased individually or a table for six or eight can be purchased at a discount price. For more information or to purchase tickets, call the Sexual Assault Crisis Center at 784-5272.
