WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star, held its annual meeting after a potluck supper on March 14.

Officers elected for the next year were: Elizabeth Leighton, worthy matron; Stanton Leighton, worthy patron; Cynthia Holbrook, associate matron; Rodney Woodrum Jr., associate patron; Violet Gerber, secretary; Clarinda Andrews, treasurer; Lucille Bauer, conductress; Sonia Woodrum, associate conductress.

Appointed were: Edward F. Webber, chaplain; Ruth Wheeler, Adah; F. Jordan Witherell, warder; and Phyllis Hall, sentinel.

The Finance Committee members elected for the ensuing year are: Yvonne Winslow, Ruth Wheeler and, F. Jordan Witherell.

During the meeting Norma Crabtree, worthy grand matron of Maine, presented Cynthia Holbrook with a commission as grand representative to the state of New Mexico for the next two years. Also present was Charlene Pelletier, grand warder.

An open installation will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Grange/Masonic Building, 322 Centre Road. The public is welcome. Installing officers will be: installing grand matron, Corley Anne Byras; grand patron, Robert M. L. Cone; grand marshal, Betty J. Perkins; grand chaplain, Samuel Kelly; grand organist, Eleanor V. Peterson; Star Point Ceremony, Ellen Broas, District 4. Light refreshments will be served.
