Lewiston – Larry “Mike” Morris, 49, a resident of North Turner, died Tuesday, April 4, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his family, after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1956, in Lewiston, the son of Raymond and Jean Mason Morris and attended the schools of Turner. On July 10, 1976, he married Carol Meeks in North Turner.

He worked for Stanley Ames as a well-driller and also as a truck driver for Agway. He enjoyed spending time at his Uncle Wayne’s garage and in his shop, and also going to camp with his brothers, but he most looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of North Turner; two daughters, Christine Colby and her husband, Josh, of Turner and Samantha Morris and her companion, Correy Jones, of Turner; his mother, Jean Tucker and her husband, Phil, of North Turner; his stepmother, Mrs. Raymond (Ann) Morris of Livermore; three brothers, Kenneth Morris and his wife, Pamela, Lloyd Morris and Ray Morris, all of North Turner; three sisters, Lorraine Camire and her husband, Dan, of Turner, Patricia Bolduc and her husband, Rene, of Greene and Tena Crowley and her husband, Bill, of Lewiston; two grandchildren, Noah and Sierra Colby; father-in-law, Charlie Meeks of North Turner; brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Raymond Morris.
