BELGRADE – Robert “Robbie” Adam Glover, 20, a resident of the Berry Road, Monmouth, died early Tuesday, April 4, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Belgrade.

He was born in Lewiston, Aug. 17, 1985, the son of Roddy A. and April A. (Pinkham) Glover. He was educated in the elementary schools of Monmouth and was a 2004 graduate of Monmouth Academy.

Since the fall of 2005, Robbie had been employed as a correctional officer with the Kennebec County Sherriff’s office, a position he was very proud to hold. He was currently interested and had been pursuing a position with the Kennebec County Sheriffs K-9 Unit. He had a special bond with Officer Rhodes and Officer Aubut. He was well liked at K.S.O and respected by all of his co-workers and the inmates as well.

He was a kind, compassionate, loving and active young man and was known as the comedian of the family. He had many friendships, but three of his cousins, Ryan and Josh Boisvert and Jamie Hodsdon, were very special to him. They did everything in life together and thought of themselves as the four Musketeers. He and his cousin, Andrea shared a brother-sister relationship as well as being close buddies. He has made a lasting impression, on all his friends and family, with his comical antics and love.

He had many interests. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling and spending time at his family camp at Passadumkeag. At the age of 13, hee got his first wild boar and deer on hunting trips with his dad.

He had an appreciation and compassion for animals as well. He enjoyed playing with various domestic animals, especially Andrea’s dog, Axyle and also enjoyed observing wild animals while on his many walks with family and friends in the woods.

He was very close to his family and he especially enjoyed the time spent with his nephews and niece.

He will be sadly missed by a large extended family who shared a deep friendship as well dearly loving Rob.

Survivors include his mother, Ms. April A. Pinkham of Monmouth; his father and stepmother, Roddy A. and June Glover of Monmouth; maternal grandparents, Robert C. and Jane L. Pinkham of Monmouth; paternal grandparents, Clarence A. and Jackie Prescott of Monmouth and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Diana H. Glover of East Lyme, Conn.; two sisters, Mrs. Joshua (Amanda J.) Hammond of Monmouth and Miss Amy H. Glover of Readfield; one stepsister, Mrs. Eric (Allison) Saylor of Lewiston; two stepbrothers, Shaun Burchell of Manchester and Joel Seraph and his wife, Cathy of Gardiner; a niece, Miss Chloe A. Hammond; two nephews, Jordan D. and Rylee C. Hammond of Monmouth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, especially Aunty Debbie.
