LEWISTON – The city will host its seventh annual Easter egg hunt from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lewiston Memorial Armory on Central Avenue.

The free event is for pre-schoolers through fifth-graders. The main attraction is the indoor Easter egg hunt, which covers the majority of the Armory gym floor and continues throughout the entire event. Participating children are asked to bring baskets.

Disc jockey Dave Dionne will play songs and community favorite Ed Morris of The Balloon Zoo will also be on tap. Activities will feature decorating Easter cookies, a moon walk, face painting and games.

Children are welcome to dress in simple Easter costumes or bonnets. They must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians.

The event, sponsored by the Recreation and Parks Department, will be held rain or shine. Food will be available for purchase.

Partners in the event include the Fire and Police departments, Volunteers of America Day Reporting Center, New Beginnings, Lewiston High School Track Booster Concession, Bates College students and Air Force Junior ROTC.
