LEWISTON – With Mother’s Day in mind, L/A Arts has put together three baskets filled with indulgent products and services to be raffled as a fundraiser. The combined value of the baskets is more than $1,200.

L/A Arts will sell raffle tickets now through May 2 for a chance to win one of the baskets. In fact, a $5 raffle ticket gives three chances to win one of them.

Basket one, more than $600 in value, includes a $50 gift certificate to DaVinci’s Eatery, a three-month membership to the Health Club and Spa, an hour of massage and a $50 gift certificate for Jewelry by Alfred.

Basket two, valued at more than $400, includes a pair of sunglasses by Affordable Eyes, three garden books and plant seeds from Pine Tree Garden Seeds and an elegant pen from Spiller’s.

Basket three, more than $200 in value, includes a pair of sunglasses and pen as well as a $25 medical services gift certificate from Alpha-One Medical and truffles and tea from Percy Books (formerly the Book Burrow).

The baskets were packaged and wrapped by the Perfect Basket. For a complete list and pictures, go to the L/A Arts Web site at www.laarts.org.

The raffle was the brainchild of L/A Arts volunteer Pauline Taylor. She and several other volunteers gathered the donations.

“We are so thrilled with all the effort our volunteers have put into this project, and the positive response from local businesses,” said L/A Arts spokeswoman Cheri Donahue.

L/A Arts volunteers have tickets to sell, and tickets are available at the L/A Arts business office during normal office hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Tickets are $5. There will be three drawings (one per basket) so one raffle tickets gives the purchaser three chances to win one of the baskets. The drawing will be held on May 6, as part of the All Maine Invitational Art Auction Night. Winners will be notified Monday, May 8. For more information, contact L/A Arts at 782-7228.
