AUBURN – Leviathan Rugby Club, based in Lewiston-Auburn, has reached a sponsorship with the Midnight Blues Club.
“This is the type of sponsorship we’ve been searching for,” says Club President Andrew MacIsaac.
The Rugby Club was established in September of last year and currently has 15 playing members. The club is actively seeking more.
The club is active in the community, supporting local charities. A Bench Press Competition to benefit the Salvation Army is scheduled for April 15 at Fitness World. Call the gym at 784-1047 for more information or to register.
Leviathan Rugby Club would like to organize a women’s program. “There’s still a lot of work to do,” says MacIsaac. “Tammy Bruhle has taken charge of our women’s program and it promises to be a lot of fun. Interested women should send an e-mail to tammy@leviathan-rugby.net.
The club is also planning an introductory youth clinic this spring. A program may be formed later in the year.
