GREENWOOD – An 18-year-old Hebron man is accused of burglarizing and stealing from the home of a Greenwood man being held in Oxford County Jail.

Oxford County Sheriff’s Deputy Tom Harriman said there are multiple suspects in the case.

Aaron S. Heath, 18, of Hebron is charged with burglary and theft in connection with a break-in at the home of Everett E. Chase, 45, of 24 Alcohol Mary Road, and with violation of bail conditions, according to jail records.

Harriman said sometime in the past few weeks, several tools and pieces of equipment were taken from Chase’s home. He said it’s likely the burglars knew Chase was in jail and his home was empty.

A relative reported the burglary.

Harriman said the stolen items were recovered in different locations, but did not provide more information because the investigation is continuing.

He is assisting Deputy Justin Brown with the case.

Chase was arrested Feb. 23 on charges of breaking into the apartment of his estranged wife in Rumford, kidnapping her, terrorizing, and leading police on a chase that ended near his home.
