RUMFORD – Gordon Dean, 72, died Tuesday, April 11, at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Cumberland Street in Rumford.

He was born in South Paris on Dec. 13, 1933, a son of Glen and Caroline (McGray) Dean. He attended schools in South Paris. He worked for C.B. Cummings Dowel Mill in Norway.

He was married in Oxford, on June 28, 1981 to Carol Berry who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include a son, David Dean and his wife, Vickie, of Buckfield; and two daughters; Donna Woitko and her husband, John, of Turner and Linda Jenkins and her husband, James, of Mexico.
