Lewiston – Reginald H. True Sr., 94, a longtime resident of Livermore, died Thursday, April 13, at Central Maine Medical Center, where he had been a patient for four days.

He was born in Livermore on Nov. 15, 1911, the son of Claude Sr. and Blanche Holmes True. He was a 1930 graduate of Leavitt Institute, where he excelled in sports, including track, football and boxing.

On April 29, 1944, he married Beulah True at the First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls. Mrs. True passed away on July 17, 1995. He was self-employed as a farmer all of his life and also worked as a logger, using a team of horses. Reggie enjoyed gardening and was surprised at how well his garden produced each year.

He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Turgeon and her husband, Paul, of Turner, and Donna DiPietro of Lewiston; two sons, Reginald H. True Jr. of Livermore and Ward True of Livermore; eight grandchildren, Mike True and his wife, Gail, Correen Sternberg and her husband, Marc, Katie Trenoweth and her husband, John, Adam True, Hattie True, Tammy McMichael and her husband, Bo, John Sanders, Randy Turgeon and his wife, Keri; seven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Lilly, Cameron, Erin, Kaden, Bryan and Brady.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Chauncey True and Claude Jr.
