Mayors to speak

LEWISTON – The Androscoggin Chapter 4077, AARP, will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the Multi-Purpose Center, Birch Street. The board of directors will meet at 12:30 p.m.

Lewiston Mayor Lionel C. Guay Jr. and Auburn Mayor Normand W. Guay will address members on ways in which Auburn and Lewiston might be able to share resources. They have served on many boards, and participated in many community projects.

Anyone age of 50 or older is invited to attend and join. Attendance and pot of gold winners will be named, and refreshments will be served.

Relay meetings

AUBURN – The American Cancer Society Relay For Life Androscoggin County is scheduled for June 23 and 24 at the Edward Little High School track.

The Planning Committee has announced team captain meetings to be held at Auburn Housing, Great Falls Plaza, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, Thursday, May 18, and Thursday, June 15. Bank night is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 22.

Team captain meetings are opportunities to become informed about Relay For Life and to register a team for the event. Seniors concert

LEWISTON – “Just Us,” a local musical group, will be in concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St.

The theme will be “Fun Time.” Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the fundraiser to benefit the Lewiston Senior Citizens Program.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the Lewiston Senior Citizens Office at the Multi-Purpose Center or from members of the Lewiston Senior Citizens. For more information, call the office at 784-2926, ext. 207.

Registration

TURNER – Kindergarten registration for Turner residents will be held on Thursday, May 11, and Friday, May 12, at Turner Primary School.

To make an appointment, call Pat or Jan at 225-3655.

The child must be age 5 on or before Oct. 15. An original birth certificate and immunization records will be required at registration.
