LEWISTON – Carmen A. Morin, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 17, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born in Lewiston on July 28, 1938, the daughter of Lucien and Marie Perron.

She married Maurice Morin on May 24, 1958, and together they raised five children.

She worked in local shoe shops and at the school lunch program at St. Joseph’s School. She also worked for Connie’s Catering and at Sears. She then followed her true passion, genealogy research, which took her to Canada and France.

Her hobbies included bowling, camping, quilting, genealogy, traveling and all family activities. Carmen was very involved with her children and grandchildren and opened her home to Fresh Air Kids and others from Canada involved in the performing arts.

She will be sadly missed by her devoted and loving husband, Maurice Morin of Lewiston; daughter, Susan and David Burgess of Greene; son, Jerry and Sandy Morin of Lewiston; son, Richard and Susan Morin of Greene; daughter, Linda and David Cloutier of Greene; and son, Ronald and Suzette Morin of Greene. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole and Tiffany Burgess, Heather, Joshua and Christopher Morin, Benjamin and Monica Morin, Patrick Cloutier and Logan Morin; and great-grandchildren, Jalen, Daymon and Koral. Carmen is also survived by siblings, Robert and Rolande Perron, Roger and Donna Perron, Bert Perron, Laurier and Pat Perron and Lucille and William Saucier; sisters-in-law, Micheline Perron and Wendy Morin; and brother-in-law, Leo Morin.

She was predeceased by Venise Morin and Robert Morin.
