Dear Sun Spots: I live in Poland, where we have the opportunity to recycle cardboard, newspaper, tin cans, glass and No. 2 plastic milk containers. I notice, however, that we end up having to throw out many items which are not readily biodegradable or which might release unhealthy fumes when incinerated. Items such as meat trays or plastic bottles for detergent, shampoo, liquid soap and more.
