William Bradbury, District 9 commander, presented citations to William A. Thomas, commander, VFW Post 9459, Lisbon, and Palmer A. Roy, District 9 membership chairman. District 9 is made up of posts in Auburn, Lewiston, Lisbon, Greene, South Paris, Canton, Rumford and Jay. Veterans from the war in Iraq have been joining the VFW.
