BRUNSWICK – The Oratorio Chorale will present its seventh annual recital, It’s a “Grand Night for Singing!,” at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at the United Methodist Church, Church Road.

Oratorio Chorale members will present selections from opera, classical art songs, musicals and modern classics ranging from composers Schubert, Grieg, and Bellini to Barber, Ives, Lehrer, and Dolly Parton.

Instrumental offerings by chorale members are a special feature of this year’s recital.

Deana Ingraham Gurney will accompany the vocal soloists. Since becoming a resident of Maine, Gurney has performed with the Portland Symphony Orchestra, Portland Opera Repertory Theater, Portland Players, the Maine Gay Men’s Chorus, the Oratorio Chorale, and Women in Harmony. She holds a master’s degree from the Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J.

Donations will be accepted at the door; $10 is suggested. Contributions will become part of the Carolyn Johnson Memorial Fund.
