Even non-racers may want to take a look at these maps to avoid getting caught in a sea of bikers.

Saturday, Lake Auburn Road Race

Racing will begin at the Auburn Land Lab on Holbrook Road at 9:45 a.m., with the Category 5 men, who will compete for 24 miles. The last race will go off at 10:25 a.m., in the women’s Pro 1/2/3 category, over 48 miles of the course.

Racing is expected to last for hours and, according to race organizers, traffic congestion is expected to be worst from the intersection of Gracelawn and Mount Auburn Avenue, to the intersection of Hotel and Youngs Corner Road. It’s an area motorists are urged to avoid.

Sunday, Great Falls Criterium

Racing will begin in downtown Auburn at 8:30 a.m., with 15 laps of racing in the Master Plus-55 category. Races will go off approximately every 45 minutes, with the last race scheduled to begin at 2:50 p.m. The last race will feature men in the professional 1/2/3 category, racing 35 laps on the -mile loop.

All traffic on Court Street traveling toward the Longley Bridge will be rerouted through Great Falls Plaza to cross the bridge. Traffic on Main Street in New Auburn will be routed up Academy and Spring streets, over to Hampshire and through Great Falls Plaza to cross the Longley Bridge.

Use the South Bridge or the Veterans Bridge.Turner Street, just before the YMCA and to the intersection of Court , will be closed during the race. The corner of Turner and Hampshire streets will also be closed to traffic.
