FARMINGTON – Zane Armandi and Steve Nelson combined to strike out seven batters en route to a no-hitter as Jay rolled past Waynflete 13-1 in a Class C baseball playoff Tuesday.

Ryan Bourassa led all batters with a two-run double, while Armandi, Jamison Turner, and Mike Holland each contributed with an RBI double for the Tigers.

Mt. Ararat 4, Lewiston 2

TOPSHAM – Jordan Bichrest fanned eight batters before Brandon Wyman came in for the save as Mt. Ararat topped Lewiston 4-2 in a preliminary baseball playoff game Tuesday.

Bichrest helped out his own cause, smacking a two-run single in the fifth that would prove to be the game-winning runs for the Eagles.

Blue Devil pitcher Luke Potter had a solid performance on the mound throughout the first four innings before giving up four hits in the fifth.

Traip 11, Livermore Falls 2

KITTERY – Travis Jones and Connor Kuehl each had three hits apiece as Traip posted an 11-2 win over Livermore Falls in six innings in baseball playoff action.

Pitcher Alex Hill went the distance for the Rangers (11-6).

Offensively, Matt Downs contributed with an RBI double, while Aaron Stuart, Fred Bowden, and Shaun Stopford each had a pair of hits.

Kyle Stebbins paved the way for the Andies (6-10-1) with a double and a two-run homer in the fifth inning.

Lacrosse

St. Dom’s 9, Lewiston 8

LEWISTON – Tavian MacKinnon scored a game-high three goals to lead St. Dom’s to a 9-8 victory over Lewiston in the Annual Morgan McDuffee Memorial game played on Tuesday.

Cam Mckee, Andrew Gilbert and Tyler Martin also chipped in with two goals apiece for the Saints. Brian Kasabian made 18 saves in net for St. Dom’s and won the player of the game award.

Travis Lebrun scored two goals and added two assists for the Blue Devils, while Jon Fournier and JR Roy also netted two goals each.
