TURNER – An opening reception for the sixth exhibit in the main galleries of the Turner Center for the Arts in the Leavitt Institute Building will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Titled Sharing Creative Energy, the exhibit will feature the work of The Spencer Pond Group, including Vivek Bandhu, Alan Bray, Peter Eldredge, Dennis Gilbert, Andy Graham and Juris Ubans.
The group spends a week each year at the century-old Spencer Pond Camps east of Moosehead Lake drawing inspiration for their individual and cooperative works that have been exhibited from Castine to Portland to Manhattan.
Paintings and drawings by Dan Cake also will be on display in the Ike and Jody Goodwin Gallery.
Refreshments will be served at the free opening reception on Sunday.
